Fokos dam
Fokos dam is one the two dams of Mykonos. It was built in order to support the continuously increasing needs of water supply of the island.
The tourist growth increases considerably fresh water needs especially during summertime.
Marathi dam
Both artificial lakes have an important growth of flora and fauna in the area of their water biotope.
Every season is suitable for observation of birds while for the flora springtime is preferred.
