Mykonos Ano Mera Village
Ano Mera is an old traditional village, the largest after Mykonos Chora
which was a separate community until 1999.
The village was originally built, on a small plateau around the monastery of Panagia Tourliani
which was then, a strong economic factor of the island.
Nearby is also Palaiokastro monastery which is built on the ruins of an ancient fortress.
Close to the central square of the village, there are many taverns and cafes,
pharmacy, various shops, some with traditional products and taxi station area.
There are hotels, family hotels & studios
and regular bus service to Chora, Kalafatis and Elia.
